INSPIRING HOPE IS A STEP AWAY.
In a normal year, community infrastructure and healthcare teams leave regularly from the spring through the winter, and you could be part of one. All you need is enthusiasm, compassion, and the willingness to put in a day’s work for someone else’s benefit.
We have three types of teams:
• Community Infrastructure: IEP Community Infrastructure teams install smoke-free stoves and water filters in the homes of impoverished families in the Chimaltenango region.
• Clinical Teams: IEP clinical teams include internists, pediatricians, dermatologists, pulmonologists and psychologists–as well as dentists, nurses, physical therapists and pharmacists. The teams set up one-week clinics.
• Surgical Teams: IEP surgical teams include surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgical technicians. They perform world-class, specialized procedures at no cost to those in need.
